How does The HÅLO work?

The Reset Ritual is designed for women who need to feel cool, calm and composed — in 30 seconds or less. Use it daily before a presentation, the school run, an important conversation or whenever you need to pause and come back to yourself.

Wet the cloth thoroughly with water, the more saturated the cloth, the better the cooling sensation. Then gently wring out the excess. Fold it lengthways into a long band, give it one firm snap, drape it around the back of your neck and take five slow breaths. Thirty seconds. A small ritual that brings you back to yourself.

How long does the cooling effect last?

The cooling effect varies with temperature and humidity. The HÅLO is designed for a 30-second reset, and one fully wet cloth can give you several resets throughout the day. Return it to the vessel after each reset, snap it to reactivate cooling, or re-wet it if you would like it colder.

Can I use The HÅLO every day?

Yes, it is designed and recommended for daily use. Build it into your morning routine, keep it on your desk, or reach for it before a presentation, the school run or an important conversation.

What is The HÅLO made from?

The HÅLO pairs a reusable cooling cloth with a beautiful ceramic-lined insulated vessel, designed to keep the cloth contained and ready for your next reset.

The Reset Cloth is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, Product Class I, the highest safety class, the same standard used for baby articles.

What are the dimensions?

The vessel is 14cm tall, 7cm wide, with a 350ml capacity, and weighs approximately 240g. The Reset Cloth measures 30cm x 70cm and weighs approximately 35g.

Is The HÅLO suitable for travel?

Yes. Gently wring out excess water and make sure the lid is securely closed before placing it in your bag.

Can I share my HÅLO?

For hygiene reasons, we recommend keeping your Reset Cloth for personal use. Replacement cloths are available.

How many resets will I get from one wet cloth?

One cloth can give you several 30-second resets throughout the day. The exact number varies with temperature and humidity. If you would like it colder, simply wet the cloth and start the process again.

What should I do when I first receive my HÅLO?

Will the cloth go mouldy or smell?

The HÅLO's ceramic-lined vessel is designed to help minimise mould and mildew. However, because the cloth is stored damp, daily care is important.

At the end of each day, rinse the cloth with clean water and leave it to air-dry overnight with the vessel open.
Wash the cloth when it starts to smell. See "How do I clean The HÅLO?" for full washing instructions.
If you notice an odour that remains after washing, it may be time to replace the cloth.

How do I clean The HÅLO?

The cloth: rinse after use, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and with mild liquid detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener.
Line dry only, do not tumble dry or iron. Between uses, air dry with the vessel open.

The vessel: hand wash with warm soapy water, avoid abrasive scrubbers. Not for dishwasher, microwave or oven.

How often should I replace the cloth?

Wash the cloth when it starts to smell. With proper care, it typically performs well through around 25 washes — cooling performance may gradually reduce after this point. Replace it once it no longer feels soft against your skin or delivers the reset you expect.

Are replacement cloths available?

Yes. Replacement Reset Cloths are available through our online store. Replace your cloth when its cooling effectiveness has noticeably reduced, it becomes damaged or an odour remains after washing.

When will my HÅLO be delivered?

Orders placed before 15h00 on a business day are dispatched the same day where possible. Orders placed after 15h00, on weekends or on public holidays will be processed on the next business day. Delivery to Cape Town takes 1–2 business days, Main Centres (Johannesburg, Durban etc.) 2–3 business days, and Regional areas 5–7 business days.
You will receive tracking information by email once your order has been dispatched. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weekends, public holidays and courier delays.
